The Journal of English Pedagogy and Instructional Models (JEPIM) applies a double-blind peer-review process, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other.
The editor conducts an initial review to assess the manuscript’s suitability, relevance to the journal’s scope, compliance with author guidelines, originality, academic quality, and ethical standards. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be rejected without external review.
Manuscripts that pass the editorial assessment are reviewed by at least two independent experts. Reviewers evaluate the originality, theoretical foundation, methodology, findings, discussion, academic contribution, and quality of writing.
The reviewers may recommend Accept Submission, Minor Revision, Major Revision, Resubmit for Review, or Decline Submission.
Authors revise the manuscript based on the reviewers’ comments and submit a revised version together with a point-by-point response. Major revisions may be returned to the reviewers for further evaluation.
The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the quality of the revisions. Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, layout, proofreading, and publication.
